Klinedinst is delighted to declare that Hartford O. Brown and Solar Filmworks, LLC have secured a North American distribution deal with THINKFilm LLC for its feature film The Last Confederate: The Story of Robert Adams. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The Last Confederate, based on a true story, is a full-length motion picture that chronicles the struggle of Robert Adams, a southern Captain drawn into the Civil War. The winner of 11 awards at film festivals in the U.S. and abroad, the The Last Confederate™ follows Capt. Adams, his sacrifices for his country and his love for a girl from the North. Independently financed and produced, The Last Confederate™ was filmed on location where many of the actual events took place.

When it came time to seek a distributor for the motion picture, Solar Filmworks and Director/Producer Julian Adams turned to Hartford O. Brown. Mr. Brown served as legal counsel for the company, reviewing and negotiating various contracts, negotiating with distribution companies, and ensuring Solar Filmwork's legal rights were preserved.

As part of the agreement, Toronto-based THINKFilm LLC will have the exclusive North American distribution rights to The Last Confederate. THINKFilm is known for its fare of independent movies, having distributed such major motion pictures as Born Into Brothels,™ winner of the Academy Award™ for Best Documentary Feature (2005), Murderball™, and Half Nelson.™
